Doc Valiant's Angel Falls PoV
Excerpts from the personal Audio Logs of Doctor Alexander Valiant.
-Walkiria: "As strong, as amazing, and as powerful as she is beautiful. Enjoyed getting to know AND HELP her."
Doc enjoyed meeting Walkiria, and hopes their meeting (and collaborations) turns into a friendship. There's a part of him that would love to get back into the "game", or at the very least have more of an active presence in such matters. So maybe Walkiria will be the catalyst to bring him back?? Either way, he'll at least make her that new costume.
-Soviet Superwoman: "Despite her name, despite her origins, (a world where the USSR was the lesser evil?) she is truely a devoted (and inspiring) champion for justice. Wheras the American Hero has seemingly/stubbornly refused to accept the world she now lives in, Olga has taken this drastic change in her life quite well."
While he's met her through Walkiria, Olga made alotta news when she initially appeared through that wormhole (and crashed into those buildings) a few years ago. Despite his initial fears that she'd be a problem, (like many other "Cold War"-era Russians) Olga's since proven herself to be one of the most stalwart of champions, (regardless of her origins) and nobody is perhaps quite as relieved as Doc is.
-Omni-Drive: "Something about the technology employed in his suit reminds me of something. Something from the past. Must investigate further."
Still playing with some ideas (some of them from rhaza) of how Doc might have some connections to the history/backstory of Omni-drive (at least in regards to origins of the Core Nexus Nandorive). Will have to see what turns up eventually.
-Polygirl: "It's nice finding someone you can hold a detailed, and scientific, conversation with. Someone to bounce ideas off of, and whatnot and not reduce them to a quivering glassy-eyed mass of confusion. Also adorably cute, extra arms and all."
Valiant is probably one of the few people who wasn't really weirded out by Polygirl's extra limbs upon first meeting her. The reason why is because he's seen ALOT weirder stuff in his day than a cute girl with pigtails and four arms. He's more intrigued and amazed by her (and her abilities) than disturbed. Also one of the few people he's talked to in recent times that doesn't get lost when he explains the super-scientific.
-Mindy Marvel: "From what I've seen on the television, she's an amazing individual. Despite her ill-fated dip into politics (something I never would've advised), she remains strong. How she juggles everything in her life, I'll never know."
Doc's got infinite amounts of respect for Mindy Marvel despite having never personally met her. Probably because she has a similar workload (more or less) to the one he used to have before "retiring", but not only kept at it BUT was able to start a family on top of it all.
-Ms. Blitzen: "One of the 'newer blood' (course most of the heroes I've met or seen lately qualify as such, but I digress). Seems to have a terrible knack of getting in over her head, (and brutally injured at times) yet manages to (almost every time) persevere through sheer determination/force of will. 'Resilient' is what I'd call her. Has a definate future in this... line of work... and I look forward to seeing how things turn out for her."
Doc always enjoys seeing new people take up the torch and "join the cause". And so far, Ms. Blitzen has more than earned her place (at least as far as Valiant's concerned) amongst the hero community with all the crap she's gone through in such short a time.
