Yes. That's right... I made Pumpkinhead!! 
And it seems our group just crossed paths with him in some way. Maybe he's been summoned upon them? Maybe they're protecting someone he's been sent after? Either way, it's not going to be easy... even for the collected heroes present.
He's probably the kind of boss that'd be scripted, gotta survive long enough to allow something to happen. That or one of those hidden/optional side quest fights that are usually harder than the final bosses.
A whole wide variety of boss and monster sprites went into making this beast. A Bulette (FF5 enemy), T-Rexaur (FF8), Ifrit (FF14) primarily.
Background comes from one of those Final Fantasy remix/remake games they've been making for mobiles and iphones or something.
