At times some people just can't catch a break. Case in point, the man once known as Dr. Michael Corvus. He and his old friend and colleage, Dr. Tristan Adams, were exploring an ancient tomb-like library they had uncovered in Greece in 1895. One trip through a hidden passage in said library later, and the two of them stumble upon a room containing treasures and gold. But what caught Corvus's attention was a bizarre necklace situated in the middle of this 'vault'. It had a strange talisman attached to it... a talisman in the shape of a Raven. While Michael was busy inspecting this find, his 'friend' only saw the gold... and as is typical of desperate men... he didn't feel like sharing. So with that, he pulled his gun and shot Corvus in the back.

While his former friend lay dying, Tristan pilfered as much as he could transport from the room. When he was finished, the traitorous fiend went about destroying the stone pillars and supports holding the ancient tomb together... effectively trapping Michael within.

Time passed, the world went on spinning and one day... fifty-plus years later, some... thing.... emerged from the rubble. It went to the first place it could remember... the address of the late doctor. But to it's horror, it discovered that life had gone on... and someone else was living there. To make matters worse, the necklace had bonded to the former human... and revealed to him that while he 'slept', Tristan had not only married his wife... but had also used the treasure pilfered from the tomb to build his own criminal powerbase, the Silver Wolves gang, in Angel Falls.

Taking the moniker 'Corvus', this resurrected 'avatar' of the Raven spirit hunts for vengeance... and justice.

Made using a variety of Capcom fighting game sprites. Primarily the hood of Doctor Doom, the wings of Michelle Hart (assist character from the first MvC game), forget where I got the chain. Made the feathers from various bits and pieces of leaves from random video games. The 'energy blade' was made using an energy effect from the sprite sheet of Kagami from SNK's 'The Last Blade' series. If memory serves I got body from a mugen-centric sprite of Angel (as in the X-Man known as Angel) made by fellow spriter (and accomplished mugen worker) Acey.
