Sprite Work: Meeting the King

Here renowned adventurer Doctor Alexander Valiant poses for a photo with legendary recording artist Elvis Presley during a trip to Vegas in the late 60's/early 70's. Rumors that they both subsequently teamed up to fight so-called 'Astro Zombies' afterwards are so far unfounded.

As stated during the story 'Breach', Doc spent alotta time in Nevada following the 'Parkway Murders Case' (aka: the storyarc 'Cannot Be Unseen' aka: fighting off slimy eldritch abominations) setting up the hidden 'Hall of Bravado' from an abandoned missile silo.

This was done to clear his mind of the whole experience, as well as ensure certain items and artifacts got buried DEEP underground.

When he opted to take a break during his work, he'd stop by in Vegas to rub elbows with the celebrities and unwind.


So I went and made a little Elvis sprite (using Captain Commando poses) to play with this idea. Might try and craft a story to go with this one day, might not. Might just have this be one of those 'photos Doc has in his home' things. Though it IS tempting to play with the 'Astro Zombies' idea, perhaps one of the last experiments by a certain 'Doctor Destruction'? Who knows. They'd undoubtedly look like THESE Astro-Zombies
