The daughter of Angel Falls "Power Couple" of Doc Valiant and Amazonia of Earth-23.

A frequent guest at Thomas Valiant's house in the mid-to-late 30's due to the efforts of shared friend/associate Patrick Noir, young Camilla Gomez (aka: Amazonia) forged a friendship with Thomas's son, the slightly younger (by maybe 3-4 years?) 'wunderkind' Alexander Valiant. She, in her spare time, helped train the young man in hand-to-hand combat. In this world, she was one of the few people who knew the fledgling superscientist's intentions to aid in the dawning war effort, to undergo the enhancement procedure that bestowed Alexander with amazing abilities.

As one can imagine, this didn't sit well with the Elder Valiant. Despite this, Thomas still sent Amazonia a message (in secret) a request to keep tabs on his son while fighting in Europe. A request she honored.

In the years following World War 2, the two friends started to drift apart. Amazonia helped form the Protectors, one of the first major superhuman groups in history. While young Doc was starting to get involved with post-War clean-up, de-commissioning Stahlkaizers, fighting threats like Xeranad, and so on. Camilla started to work more closely with the violent vigilante known as the Black Spider as they battled new enemies, such as the dreaded 'Iron Knives' army, the insane Doctor Destruction, and most prominently... the sadistic 'Red Bear', sent by the shadowy Crescent Alliance to take out possible threats to their operations.

The superhero community was rocked when, in 1949/1950, the villainous Red Bear put a bloody end to his personal war with the Black Spider. He would not go unavenged, as his compatriot 'Spartan-One' would soon get revenge upon the sadistic fiend. With the death of the Vengeful Spectre, a vacancy... a hole was left in the Protectors roster. Through the efforts of Amazonia and then-NATO Supreme Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower, Doc Valiant was convinced to fill said vacancy. This brought the two friends back together, bringing them even closer than they had been. This soon sparked feelings they had kept secret to come to the surface. Feelings became desire, desire became love. This was further helped by a five-year search they both went on to look for the missing Patrick Noir. In the course of this investigation into their friend's disappearance, the two mighty heroes dealt devastating blows to the operations of the Crescent Alliance. This cemented their love for each other, and to the surprise of everyone who knew them... Doc and Camilla were married in the jungles of South America.

Nine months later, this coupling begat a daughter, Veronica Anne Valiant.

Almost immediately it became apparent that this child had obtained the best of both worlds, inheriting abilities from her parents' combined genetics. Enhanced Amazonian Strength and Speed greater than her mother and father combined, Slowed Aging upon puberty, Invulnerability comparable to the likes of Soviet Superwoman backed up by a Regenerative Capability, Extremely Resistant to Diseases and Drugs, Enhanced Senses, Her Father's Intelligence, and Her Mother's Heart. But this also took a toll, as she went through the awkward teenage/puberty phase of her life for many years longer than normal humans... and the emotional spectrum that came with it left a temporary rift between her and her parents.

This all came to a head in 1987 when Amazonia's old nemesis Panthera targetted Veronica as a means to gain an advantage over her hated foe, and perhaps draw her out. Unaware of the young superhuman's abilities, Panthera's plans were soon thwarted, and in a fit of rage... Veronica killed the villainess, snapping her neck right in front of her shocked mother. Worried about her development, both parents agreed it was time that she better learned how to harness and control her strength. She spent the next four years training amongst the Juran Amazons alongside Camilla. Through these efforts the young lady learned discipline, control, and respect of her abilities. In honor of her achievement, the amazons bestowed upon her gifts... her own staff and a pair of Gauntlets similar to those worn by her mother.

Despite the hopes of her parents that she would join the Guardians, the modern incarnation of (in this world) what was once the Protectors, Veronica instead pursued a career in Archaeology and Adventuring. She has forged her own path, travelling the world in search of ancient mystery and time-lost artifacts. Her actions and accomplishments eventually landed her a job at the Patrick Noir Museum as Chief Archaeologist. Though currently her expeditions and globetrotting have occupied the majority of her time.

And woe be unto ANYONE seeking to misuse or exploit any of these mystical relics and artifacts.
