Sprite Work: Alexander 'Noble' Valiant (Earth-369)

Another dip into the world of "Alternities" of .

This time it's a Valiant that went slightly mad in a world where alotta things went South. ALOTTA inspiration from various 'Alternate History' stories like "Storming Paradise", "Then Everything Changed", Marvel's "Bullet Points" and other stuff like the finale of the "X-Men: First Class" movie, 


-Thomas Valiant II dies of 'consumption' in 1938, leaving his son Alexander alone to handle things. Regardless of this, the young Valiant volunteers for the process that will rebirth him into a superhuman. He participates in the war in Europe, one of the heroes present when the Nazis finally surrendered.

-Then comes a day in May 1945, which in this world would have unknowingly huge consequences. 
               -One of Japan's 'Balloon Bombs', perhaps guided by some twist of fate, managed to take out the power plant that had a pivotal role in the creation of the Atom Bomb, delaying it by a few good months. By then, an invasion of mainland Japan was already underway... and Valiant was apart of said invasion, fresh off the fields of Europe.
                     -As one can imagine, said invasion was HELL. So much so that it began to eat at Valiant's sanity and control.
                           -Think Spec Ops the Line.
                     -Then the US dropped an A-Bomb in the midst of the carnage, not quite knowing what they had.
                           -Valiant isn't anywhere NEAR ground zero, but sees the chaos and devastation wrought by it.
                           -Massive Casualties on all sides.
               -Began to become disillusioned by the World he lived in. As time went on, began to see himself (more and more) as just being there to fix the catastrophic messes that politicians continually made.
                     -Key Example: The Cuban Missile Crisis ends more like the scenario from "Then Everything Changed", with a large portion of Cuba destroyed by itchy trigger fingers and Cold War tensions at a breaking point.
                           -Among the casualties, in this scenario, were the Protectors.
                                   -Sent to try and stop it.
                           -Only survivor, as far as everyone knows, is heavily injured (comatose) Amazonia. 
               -Valiant could no longer stand behind these supposed 'Leaders' he served, protected, and followed, seeing them as being grossly incompetent, not fit to lead.
                     -Decides it's time for a change.
               -Used his amazing mind, crippled moral compass and father's vast resources to steadily take control of things.
                     -Very much like the Superman from "Injustice", seeking peace and safety at any cost, no matter how brutal.
                     -But also very much like Batman mixed with Lex Luthor/Vandal Savage.
                            -A lover of the 'Long Game'.
        
Basically a Valiant who got twisted and dark due to a vastly different 20th Century.

This history/backstory goes up until before Olga Yezhov's arrival in 2008.
